Too Much Input

A southern California based multimedia artist, Matt DiBiase (aka Plexusplay) began his passion for music in Boston studying classical mallet percussion on marimba from the age of 5. In middle school he added the drum set and later transitioned to jazz vibraphone and jazz drums in high school.
Matt graduated from Oberlin College & Conservatory in 2017 with two bachelor’s degrees in jazz vibraphone performance and neuroscience. Matt has performed his original music on multiple tours in the U.S. as well as internationally in Europe and the Middle East. Select performances nclude headlining the Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines Festival, opening for LA electronica duo KNOWER, and headlining the Tri-C Jazz Festival (Cleveland).
In San Diego, Matt has shared the stage at Symphony Hall with artists Kamau Kenyatta, Gilbert Castellanos, and Joshua White. During quarantine, Matt has endeavored to broaden his knowledge of 3D animation and continuously release animated music videos of both original music and covers.
His art aims to be light-hearted, comedic, and thought-provoking.
